If you are producing a batch of parts for a customer, or a short run as part of a PPAP, or a structural steel fabrication as large as a football field, or maybe a first-article inspection of a precision machined aluminum or composite part: Do you have an optimal cycle time for inspection in mind?

Some of our programs have lengths in the thousands of lines, but the result is typically 60-70% reduction in cycle time when these parts reach inspection. Iterations then only consume fractions of the time, and production machinery can get to cranking out in-spec parts more quickly.

Recently, we reduced a 3-shift inspection down to a single shift. We also programmed a first article inspection that enabled 175 callouts to be analyzed in just 15-minutes of hands-on inspection time. Without a program it would have taken 12 hours to inspect and then produce the report.
